Competences     Looking for freelance job in Europe. I am an experienced consultant and technical project leader with a strong background in software engineering, application development, implementation, and management. My experience in the IT field includes work for The World Bank, Digital Equipment Corporation, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and MaxIT, Inc. I have also applied my technological expertise to companies in the public sector, including several Dutch government agencies, as well as the Florida Department of Revenue in the United States. I have extensive knowledge and experience in the field of software development, development architecture, database organization, application management, quality control, and business analysis. I am an experienced technical project team leader and have also worked in marketing and sales.

I have knowledge and experience in a range of programming techniques and languages, methods, databases, development methodologies, object-oriented programming (OOP), and AJAX technology. I am always working to keep ahead of new technologies, and am currently working to master OpenLaszlo, Ruby on Rails, Prince2, and Agile development using SCRUM.

I received my BSc degree in Information Technology from Eindhoven University in 1981 and studied post-graduate courses at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. I am a Dutch native who lived in the United States for 16 years. As a result, I am fluent in both English and Dutch. I relocated back to my home town of Roosendaal in June 2008.
